You can send 1 Spell Card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation of an Effect Monster's effect, and destroy that Effect Monster.
Why not?
While it has attribute restrictions, it's accessible through Kagemusha + Grandmaster which happens quite a lot IMO and it gives a new edge to the shien lock.
It also has the advantage of having the same attribute as its materials and hence enabling it to be synchro summoned under Gozen Match.
Six Samurais themselves usually use around 20 spell cards, so the cost should be managable.
Worth an extra deck space?
Only thing worth negating is Ryko imo and it's worth the deck space not like you're going to get anything else except Shien.
