Game Mechanic Change as per 2011/03/19
□■モンスターの起動効果のルール変更に関するお知らせ ■□
平素より遊戯王OCGにてお遊び頂き誠にありがとうございます。
遊戯王OCGにおきましては、常にお客様にエキサイティングなデュエルを楽しんで頂ける様、
バランスを考慮しつつカード毎のルールの変更が発生する事がありますが、
この度、モンスターの起動効果に関してのルール変更がございますので下記の通りお知らせ致します。
◆ルール変更適用日◆
2011年3月19日（土）
今回のルール変更につきましては、遊戯王ゼアルOCG「スターターデッキ」の発売日と同じく2011年3月19日（土）からの適用となります。
◆ルール変更点◆
●変更前
モンスターの起動効果を、モンスターの召喚（反転召喚・特殊召喚）に成功したタイミングに発動する事ができる。
●変更後
モンスターの起動効果を、モンスターの召喚（反転召喚・特殊召喚）に成功したタイミングでは発動できない。
※基本的にモンスターの起動効果は、特に指定の無い限り、メインフェイズにて発動する事ができる効果になります。
何らかの効果処理が完了した時や、1つの行動の終了時という特定のタイミングに於いての発動はできません。
2011年3月18日までのルールではモンスターの召喚（反転召喚・特殊召喚）という特定の行動の終了時に発動ができるとなっておりますが、2011年3月19日以降はそのタイミングでのモンスターの起動効果は発動できないルールに変更となります。

1. Basically means that monsters with ignition effect, or what we are all familiar with priority, will be changed. They are unable to activate their effect even after they are normal summoned, advance summoned, or special summoned successfully.
2. Taking an example of Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Boundary. Usually when you summon Brionac and declare priority, discard how many cards you want to return, and let's say opponent respond with a bottomless trap hole.
3. Before -> Chain Link 1(Brionac), Chain Link 2(Bottomless trap hole).
Now -> Just Bottomless trap hole finishing off your Brionac as there will be no priority.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but cards such as Black Rose Dragon, Trishula, Monarchs, unless their summons are negated, effects will still be able to activate.

Something good with the new banlist!!
well some ppl here and there protest about why GOYO is banned?? and why BoM is even limited?? and what's with banned cold wave?? well my decks don't really care bout that stuff, with kallut joins black whirlwind in limited pile, and 1 honest and 2 christia (not really works out IMO), and even GATEWAY, even tho TCG players r just getting STOR nowadays, lol, this may be the start of the new era of exceed summons, well, we should see the brighter side of this ban list

You (Can't) play Yugioh the same way again..
Yes, that's the title for today's post. Why? Blame Hyper Librarian and Formula Synchron. Now that Dandy's at 1, I decided to change my deck, still, inspired by the Draw Whore combo and Machiners Karakuri Plant from DuelingDays. Here's my 2 cents:
Instead of summoning Red Demons Dragon when opponent has 2 tokens and a face down monster, I decided to do a Bureido loop.
Instead of summoning a mist wurm to bounce off 2 facedown monsters and a backrow which i happened to know is a mirror force, I did a librarian/Trishula combo, aaand I happened to hit a ryko which milled a dandy.
I dunno if my moves were good or bad, but definitely, drawing out of your draw phase is fun.
Critics and comments would be very appreciated :)

Thoughts About the Banlist
Banned cards:
Goyo - don't know why he's here...
Cold wave - expected
Mass Driver - should've been here since frogs
Limited Cards:
Honest and Kalat - less surprises from hand?
Dandylion - expected, with all the tokens becaming formula synchrons.
Gateway of the six - expected.
Book of moon - seriously, this is surprising. Maybe it has something to do with exceed? like if the exceed monster turned face down then the overlay units will be sent to the grave, I might be wrong, but who knows lol.
Semi-Limited Cards:
Card trooper - Yes.
Spirit reaper - Lol I'm gonna play debris revive beast of pharaoh, black rose and SS reaper...maybe...
Debris dragon - 2 seems to be a good number, dandy is limited, but with the addition of another card trooper and reaper, debris dragon still have a number of good viable targets.
Kristya - Many angel builds also only uses 2 kristya, so semi-limiting this card actually doesn't do much to the deck..
Royal tribute - should be limited IMO.
Overload fusion - with cydra at 3, this card might see some play, but not as broken as when future fusion was still at 3.
Megamorph - with solemn warning and judgment using life points as a cost, this card might be a good choice in setting for a 1 hit wonder by preventing opponent from summoning lol. A good choice in psychics too, with a lot of life points payment and the ability to swarm with the new support.
Solemn Warning - Many decks use 2, so it doesn't matter, though less solemn warning will give some breathing space for people to actually make their plays.
Icarus Attack - Cripples blackwings.
Now for the good news:
No Longer Restricted:
Chaos Sorcerer - This card is bound to see some play. Maybe in psychics? removing psychic monsters from play and abusing them from RFG lol.
Snipe Hunter - Why was he hit by the banlist in the first place..?
Demise - Really no comment on this card...not many people even actually tried to abuse him even when he was at 2.
Dewloren - With no substitutoad, this card is guiltless.
Gold Sarcro - Not really imba with necroface at 1, maybe again usable with psychics?
Skill Drain - With cold wave now banned, no heavy storm and MST stays at 2...D.D Eatos anyone?
Ultimate offering - Yes.
Thoughts:
No storm, no cold wave, mst stays at 2, not forgetting skill drain back to 3, this is worse than the previous trap format...Exceed please save us.
Blackwings are pretty much crippled...
Samurais are hit quite hard, with gateway at 1, they became more like infernities, still powerful, however lacking..shien is still bothersome though.
Quickdraw dandy and Debris dandy loses much potential of their gamebreaking plays, still strong however.
Angels are not really affected with the semi restriction of kristya, maybe honest, but they can still hold their own with trishula plays and hyperion.
Karakuri variants and Psychics are top contenders IMO (not taking exceed summons into account yet).
Favourite change about this banlist : Card trooper to 2 :D
Favourite thing about this banlist : Formula and Librarian aren't hit :D :D :D and less warnings and moons to worry about.
